Download Audiobooks & E-Books

Free downloadable books are now available from Massapequa Library

We are pleased to announce our participation in the Nassau Digital Doorway – a service that allows you to check out and download audiobooks & eBooks anytime, anywhere. Patrons may browse the growing collection of best-selling and classic titles. Once downloaded, digital titles can be enjoyed on the computer or transferred to a variety of portable devices. Many audio titles can also be burned to CD (when allowed by the publisher) to enjoy in the car.

Newly available are downloadable E-Books, which require a download of the Adobe Digital Reader; a link is available on Overdrive's site. Overdrive E-Books and the Adobe Digital Reader are currently only compatible with the Sony Reader.

Patrons may check out up to five titles (audiobooks & E-books combined) at a time and, at the end of the seven-day loan period, the audiobooks will expire from their computer and be returned automatically to the digital collection. E-Books expire at the end of their 14-day loan period. The expired files will remain on your computer until you delete them.

To access the Massapequa Public Library digital collection you will need:

A valid Massapequa Public Library card
Access to the Internet (high-speed connection preferred)
Free downloadable software that downloads audiobooks & E-Books to your computer.
